weight managementWe all know how difficult it is to lose weight; there are so many pitfalls and barriers in your way, both physical and mental. Using a combination of nutritional advice and exercise I can help you find the right way for you to reach your goals.

I know that exercise isn’t for everybody; it can seem boring, repetitive and, frankly, too much like hard work! Don’t like working out in the gym? That’s fine. We can take it outside or even start off your training in your own home. I am confident that we can find the right kind of exercise programme for you to keep you engaged and allow you to achieve your target weight!

Have you tried faddy, boring diets? Are you concerned that you’ll be eating cardboard and cabbage for months, only to put the weight back on when you go back to normal? If you train with Fitness Xtreme it’s not about dieting, it’s about changing your lifestyle and finding something easy and enjoyable for you to maintain. Highly trained and professional, I will be there to support you every step of the way, from helping you to make health-conscious choices in the supermarket to finding nice alternatives to your naughty treats!

 

Food Diaries – I will start off by asking you to fill out a food diary over a two week period to get an idea of what, when, why and how you eat.

Psychometric Testing – It’s not as painful as it sounds! I’ll ask you to fill out a few forms to ascertain how you feel about food and exercise so we can identify together any pitfalls or barriers you may come across and be in a better position to deal with them if and when they arise.

Goal Setting – Together we will set ‘SMARTER’ objectives; they should be Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, Timed, Evaluated and Recordable. We’ll sign a contract, both committing to do all we can to attain your goals.

Nutrition – With qualifications in Nutrition and Weight Management I have the expertise and scientific knowledge to help you construct a diet to support your weight-loss goals. You will also have the opportunity to really kick-start your weight loss by taking your diet to The Nth Degree.

Exercise – We will find enjoyable ways for you to get your heart-rate up and burn those calories. The most important thing is that you don’t get bored and that there is always room for change and progression.

Check Points – Periodically, we’ll check that we’re on the right track and on the way to achieving the goals we set out in the beginning. If it’s not working for you on any level – you’re not enjoying the work-outs, it’s not fitting into your lifestyle, or the diet and exercise isn’t producing the results we hoped – we can sit down, work it out together and re-think how we’re going to get you back on-track.

Progression – So, you’ve achieved your goals? Why stop there? You’ve come so far, think how much further you’re capable of going! We can look back at your original analysis, re-take the tests and formulate a new plan to suit the new improved you.
